CORDA &
PLATINELA

Corda & Platinela began its journey in 2018 with the aim of researching and traveling the paths that built the traditions of Brazilian popular music. Since then, the duo has earned the prestige of specialized critics for one of their works, which was finalist in the Professional Music Award 2023 in the Instrumental Music Performers category. In addition, they were recognized as “Young Talents” at the XIII Campina Grande International Music Festival, as “New Talents” in the selection of the “Um Café Lá em Casa”, channel created by musician Nelson Faria, and took the first prize in the musical contest of Paulicéia Cultural Center.

The duo performed in the countryside of the state of São Paulo as part of the SESI 2022 Musical Interventions program and gave a remarkable performance at the Ema Klabin Foundation, as guests artists in the Violão & Ponto project. In addition, they performed their Workshow “The Paths of Brazilian popular music” at the Clube do Choro in Brasília.

They have played at important festivals such as the III AssoVio Vertentes National Guitar Circuit, the 1st Violão & Ponto Festival and Gramix Festival. Other noteworthy events were their participation in the “Chorinho no Aquário” organized by the Santos Department of Culture and in “Música no MAC”, which is promoted by the São Paulo Museum of Contemporary Art.
